To reach Jewish people with the Gospel that Yeshua is
our Messiah.
Our Purpose Temple Shalom Yisrael is a Messianic Jewish Congregation that exists to love G-d with all of our being, as set forth in the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah of Israel as foretold by the Prophets. It is our desire to place Him at the center of our lives and to be conformed into His image. We are called to bring G-d's message of salvation in Messiah Yeshua to all people, to the Jew first and also to the non-Jew.
Living a Messianic Jewish Lifestyle As Messianic believers, we choose to honor the L-rd by entering His Sabbath and observing His festivals. We strive to live a Jewish lifestyle in out homes and congregation. This is based first and foremost on Biblical instruction and secondly on the traditions of our ancestors. As cited in the Shema, these principles are taught to our children in our homes and our Shabbat School. As a congregation, we aim to love each other as Messiah loves us. We also seek to place the needs of others above our own needs. (Philippians 2:4; Mark 12:31) Our personal relationship with G-d is maintained by commitment to a consistent life of worship, Bible study and prayer. |
